liberty band directors

Mr. Jones is in his thirteenth year as a music educator and his sixth as a director in Lubbock-Cooper ISD. He oversees all parts of the Liberty Band and Color Guard programs. Outside of Liberty he regularly helps out at Laura Bush Middle School. 

This first year at Liberty has been full of outstanding playing and many successes! We look forward to continuing our reach for excellence. 

Prior to opening Liberty High School Mr. Jones taught at Lubbock-Cooper High School for five years, Plainview ISD for six years, and one year in Alvord ISD. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Music degree from Texas Tech University. Apart from music he enjoys spending time with his wife Brettney and their 5 year old son Jettson. His hobbies include golfing, mountain biking, camping, and anything that can become a competition.
